A 22-year-old woman stabbed her ex-boyfriend to death in Arleta on Saturday, June 27, after he broke into her home through a window and assaulted her, police said.
Officers responded at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of a stabbing at a residence in the 9200 block of Nagle Avenue, where paramedics pronounced a 23-year-old man dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The woman told dispatchers that she stabbed her ex-boyfriend with a knife after he broke into her home through a window and physically assaulted her, the department said in a statement. The woman was taken to a hospital with evidence of multiple blunt force injuries, the statement said.
The woman was not arrested. Detectives were investigating the incident as a justifiable homicide, police said.
