Arsenal are exploring a shock move for Real Madrid striker Endrick before next week’s summer transfer deadline.
The Gunners have strengthened in midfield and out wide with the signings of Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis. But Mikel Arteta has been keen on another option up front with Julian Alvarez regarded as a dream signing in north London.
The saga over the Argentina international’s future threatens to drag into the final hours of the window. As it stands, Alvarez only wants to join Barcelona with Atletico Madrid refusing to do business with the Catalan giants. Atletico are willing to sell to Arsenal but so far the striker has indicated he does not want to return to England.
The situation has left Arsenal to consider alternative options with talkSPORT reporting the Premier League champions have made an official approach to sign Endrick from Real Madrid.
