Detroit Pistons Make Tobias Harris Announcement vs 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are going to close out their back-to-back set on Saturday, April 4, going against the top-seeded Detroit Pistons.

Will there be a Tobias Harris reunion in the City of Brotherly Love?

There is some doubt from Detroit. On the official injury report, the Pistons have listed Tobias Harris as questionable. He is unsure about his status against his former team.

Harris is dealing with a knee contusion, according to the injury report.

The Pistons took on the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 2.

During the game, Harris checked out after seeing the court for six minutes. He shot 1-1 from the field to score two points. He also produced one assist before leaving.

Harris was ruled out for the rest of the game after his knee made contact with another player. The head coach, JB Bickerstaff, didn’t have an actual update to reveal right after the game. The injury report confirms that Harris’ diagnosis remains the same.

If Harris doesn’t get the nod to play against the Sixers, it would mark his first absence since the March 30 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This season, Harris has appeared in 59 games for the Pistons. He is shooting 46.2% from the field, and knocking down 34.9% from three, while producing 13.1 points per game. Harris is also posting averages of 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

A Boston Celtics loss on Friday night would’ve locked up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the Pistons. The Celtics defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 133-101.

The Pistons are still comfortable at the top. They hold a 56-21 record, which gives them a 4.0-game lead over the Celtics.

Meanwhile, the Sixers are sixth in the East with a 43-34 record. They are working on keeping a playoff position without getting knocked down to the NBA Play-In Tournament.

The Pistons-Sixers are slated for a 7 PM ET tip on Saturday.
