Fans furious as Sky Sports starts glitching moments before Premier League Darts final

DARTS fans were furious after Sky Sports’ coverage of tonight’s Premier League final started glitching.

Nathan Aspinall beat Michael Smith in the showpiece at Rotterdam but the build-up was overshadowed by issues on the big screen.

However, just as dart lovers were about to tune in to the action, the trouble started.

The coverage started to break due to what appeared to be a connection issue.

And it did not take long for furious punters to take to social media to slam Sky Sports.

One posted on X: “Typical of the sky sports coverage of the darts to go all t**s up just in time for the final hahaha.”

Another wrote: “This darts coverage is awful!!!

“@SkySports sort out the darts,” demanded a fellow enraged fan.

That theme continued as a fourth said: “Sky sports sort it out, and sort it out rapid.”

A fellow viewer raged: “Absolute s***e! Get it fixed.”

A sixth asked: “Is it just my tv or is coverage cutting out constantly?”

While a seventh said: “Anyone else’s Sky sports for darts just messing and glitching out?”

Former world champion Smith had earlier dumped Luke Littler out.

He triumphed 6-3 over the teenage sensation as he recorded a fourth victory over him in this season’s competition.

Smith then defeated Gerwyn Price 6-5 to move into the final.

Meanwhile, Aspinall romped to a 6-2 win over Peter Wright in the opening night of round 12.

He then beat Luke Humphries 6-4 in the semi – although this evening’s display was enough to see the latter overtake Littler at the top of the table.

Aspinall then secured his second Premier League nightly win of the year with a 6-4 victory.

That is despite him missing four darts at double and allowing Smith one dart to force a decider.

However, Bully Boy missed tops and The Asp then hit double four to spark the celebrations.
