Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will go to war again in a rematch of their 2022 classic on the undercard of Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul this summer.

Taylor and Serrano made history two years ago when they became the first women to headline New York’s famed Madison Square Garden in their undisputed lightweight title fight.

In a bout widely regarded as the best of the year, the Irish legend sealed a narrow split decision to retain her titles.

Serrano, a seven-weight world champion, will now have the chance to get her revenge when they meet at the 80,000-seater AT&T Stadium in Texas on 20 July.

Their fight will serve as the co-main event alongside Tyson vs Paul with the show to be streamed globally by Netflix.

Taylor made history by becoming a two-weight undisputed world champion in November, claiming all four super-lightweight titles by beating Chantelle Cameron.

Those super-lightweight titles will be on the line against Serrano.

‘This is the rematch the world has wanted to see and I’m delighted that it’s finally happening,’ said Taylor.

‘The first fight in New York was obviously an epic occasion and it more than lived up to the billing, and I’m sure the rematch will be no different.

Serrano said: ‘I promised my fans they would see this rematch after we made history at MSG and it feels like a dream come true to know that Katie and I are finally making it happen on the biggest stage possible to show the world what elite women’s boxing is all about.’

I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision, so this time I’m not leaving it to the judges.

‘I am honoured to share this iconic MVP card in the biggest stadium, on the biggest streaming platform in the world.

In the main event, heavyweight legend Tyson will meet influencer-turned-fighter Paul in a bout that is likely be fought under exhibition rules
