Real Madrid issue ultimatum to Vinicius Junior after Arsenal approach

Real Madrid have told Vinicius Junior that he could be sold to Arsenal this summer if he does not accept their offer of a new contract, according to reports in Spain.
However, the Spanish club have told the winger that their latest offer of a new deal is final and that there will be no further negotiations or increase in their proposal.
During talks with Vinicius Jr, Madrid are said to have made their stance clear – if the winger does not renew his contract, they will sell him before the end of the transfer window.

Madrid are understood to be unwilling to alter their salary structure, despite Vinicius Jr’s importance to the team, but do not want to see the winger leave as a free agent next year.
Vinicius Jr’s place in Jose Mourinho’s side is also under threat due to the imminent arrival of Yan Diomande, who is joining from RB Leipzig in a deal worth €135 million (£115.5m) after add-ons.
Vinicius Jr joined Madrid as an 18-year-old in a £38.7m deal from Brazilian side Flamengo in 2018.
The Brazilian winger has scored 128 goals in 375 appearances for Madrid and has helped the club win 14 trophies, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies.
