Bayern Munich stars Leroy Sane and Manuel Neuer have been passed fit enough to play against Arsenal, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.
Arsenal travel to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night for the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final, with the tie delicately poised at 2-2.
The Gunners will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday which saw them lose their lead of the Premier League title race.
Meanwhile, Bayern’s 11-year dominance of the Bundesliga came to an end on the weekend as Bayer Leverkusen finally clinched the title, leaving the Champions League as the only trophy they can win this season.
And the German giants have been handed a much needed boost ahead of the huge clash, with winger Sane and goalkeeper and captain Neuer set to play after an injury scare.
Sane had a brilliant game at the Emirates but Tuchel later said his involvement in the second-leg was ‘up in the air’ after he missed Saturday’s win over Koln, with Neuer also missing the match with a muscle injury.
But in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, the manager revealed the pair would play, though they were perhaps not at their fittest.

‘He said: ‘Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sane can play. Due to the situation with Serge [Gnabry] and King [Kingsley Coman], Leroy will probably have to grit his teeth for as long as possible.’
As Tuchel alludes to, wingers Gnabry, who scored in the first-leg, and Coman are out for Wednesday’s clash, with the latter sidelined for the rest of the season with a thigh injury.
It’s a devastating blow for Bayern, with striker and England captain Harry Kane adding: ‘Really disappointed for King and Serge, two players who have struggled with injuries this season.

‘You never want that. You want them out on the pitch. We’ll see with Leroy today in training. There have been a lot of injuries, probably the most for any team I’ve been with.
‘It doesn’t matter for me who I play with. There might be certain situations where I have to adapt.
‘Hopefully we can keep the ball better and pin them into their half, but we know they have great threats that we have to wary of. The best thing from the first game was the way were were collective and we’ll need that again tomorrow.’
