The Sky waived their 2025 second-round draft picks: Maddy Westbeld (No. 16) and Aicha Coulibaly (No. 22).
In her rookie season, Westbeld averaged 4.1 points in 13.6 minutes while shooting 39.5% from 3. Coulibaly did not join the team last season because she was recovering from an ACL injury, but had a strong training camp.
Both players were signed to rookie contracts and could still qualify for the team’s two development spots. But first they must clear waivers, meaning no other team claims their contracts in the next 48 hours.
The Sky also waived point guard Hailey Van Lith earlier Monday.
With the addition of veteran point guard Natasha Cloud, the Sky now have 12 players on the roster (the maximum). Guard Sydney Taylor is the last training camp invitee standing. If final rosters were due today, she would make the cut, but the team could still make additional moves.
The 10-year veteran will help shoulder ball-handling responsibilities while Courtney Vandersloot continues to rehab an ACL injury. She should also upgrade the Sky’s perimeter defense.

Van Lith was a college standout but struggled to carve out a role in her rookie season.

Carrington will be key to the Sky’s defense as they look to play a more disruptive style. She’s still “a couple weeks” away from returning from injury.
