Two men were shot in West Ridge Wednesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
The men, 24 and 31, were on the sidewalk in the 6300 block of North Claremont Avenue at 3:25 p.m. when they were both shot, police said in a statement. The 31-year-old was shot in the back and left shoulder, and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston in critical condition, police said.
The 24-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and taken to St. Francis in fair condition, police said. No one was in custody.
