A man was shot and killed Sunday in the Douglas neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The man, 23, was outside around 4:40 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Dearborn Street when someone fired shots, striking him in the chest and back, according to Chicago police.
The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and later pronounced dead, authorities said.
No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
