A man was shot to death and another was wounded while they were seated in a parked vehicle in Granada Hills early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The shooting occurred at about 1:50 a.m. in the area of Ludlow Street and Yarmouth Avenue, just south of San Fernando Mission Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers dispatched to the location in response to an “ambulance shooting” call located a 29-year-old man seated in the front passenger seat. The other victim, a 25-year-old man, was in the driver’s seat.
Police said a suspect approached on foot, fired multiple shots and then fled the scene on foot.
The 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was rushed to a hospital.
“A third individual, also seated inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting, was questioned and released,” according to the police statement.
No suspect description was available.
