The LAPD deals with hundreds of criminal complaints and cases per week, but high-profile murder investigations are much rarer. What is even more uncommon is having two high-profile individuals accused of murder housed in the same jail at the same time. That’s exactly what is happening at Twin Towers Correctional Facility right now. Both Nick Reiner and David Anthony Burke, otherwise known as D4vd, are being held there.

Nick Reiner and D4vd are being held at the same facility as they await their murder trials.

Now that D4vd has been officially arraigned in the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, he has been moved to a more permanent living situation. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the music artist is now being housed at Twin Towers Correctional Facility, a jail in the Los Angeles system that typically holds inmates awaiting trial. The facility is the same jail currently housing Nick Reiner as he awaits trial for the December 2025 murder of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. The location was likely chosen to house both Reiner and Burke because of the high-profile nature of their cases and potential mental health concerns. It is unclear if they are being housed in the same unit.

Prior to his transfer to Twin Towers Correctional Facility, D4vd was held at the 77th Street jail. He was held at the facility while awaiting formal charges. He was arrested on April 16 but was not formally charged until April 20. Burke’s charges carry a potential life sentence, and the death penalty is also on the table. Reiner faces the same possibility. The District Attorney has not yet decided whether the state will seek the death penalty in either case.

Burke is expected back in court on April 23 for a preliminary hearing. Reiner’s next court appearance is set for April 29.

While D4vd and Nick Reiner are the most infamous alleged criminals currently being housed at the facility, they are far from the only famous faces who have seen the inside of Twin Towers Correctional Facility. Some celebrities have passed through the facility for relatively minor infractions, while other high-profile criminals have had lengthy stays for extremely serious crimes.

Suge Knight had a brief stay at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. The infamous music mogul was held there while he awaited trial for a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of Terry Carter, a man he had argued with earlier. Murderer Robert Durst was also held at the facility after he was extradited in 2016. Durst, who allegedly killed three people between 1982 and 2001, died in a hospital while in custody. His death came just months after being sentenced to life behind bars. He died from complications of COVID-19. Durst was not housed at Twin Towers Correctional Facility at the time of his death.

Harvey Weinstein and Danny Masterson were both processed through the facility, too. Weinstein stayed at Twin Towers while awaiting trial on sex abuse charges. Masterson was processed through the same jail system during his trial for rape. Weinstein is currently serving his sentence in upstate New York, while Masterson is serving his at California Men’s Colony.
