Jake Reiner made his return to his podcast, The Incline: Dodgers Podcast, marking the first episode since his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, were found dead in their Brendwood home in December 2025.
Jake has been co-hosting the podcast alongside Kevin Klein since April 2019, and markerd his return by sharing some sweet sentiments about his father.
“When it comes to the Dodgers, you know, my first love, is something that I’ve always connected with my dad first and foremost,” Jake said. “And it’s something that I will continue to connect with him for the rest of my life.”
Jake added that he felt it was “a good time to come back” to the podcast, but acknowledged that he “didn’t wanna just jump on the podcast and start talking about the Dodgers’ offensive woes or bullpen woes without, you know, addressing some things first.”
Jake Reiner Thanks Everyone For Their Support
Before diving into the baseball discussion, Jake thanked everyone “near and far” for “all the love” and support following the tragic murder of his passing.
“I couldn’t appreciate that more,” Jake said. “I felt it was time to come back to the podcast. I was thinking about it for a really long time and [have] been talking to Kevin about it for a while now.”
His return to the podcast comes after he broke his silence, sharing an emotional essay about his parents on Substack in April. There, he talked about the pain of his brother, Nick Reiner, being arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with their deaths. He has pleaded not guilty.
âNothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time. Itâs too devastating to comprehend,” Jake wrote. âI still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, itâs not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare.”
“To me, my parents are at the center of my life. They are my guiding lights, the foundation of who I am as a human being, and the most giving people I have ever known,” he added. “The love they have for me, my brother, and my sister is truly unconditional. And the love they have for each other in their marriage is something I always looked up to as the standard of what a successful relationship looks like.â
