Katie Price’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler arrives at court for child rape trial

Kieran Hayler is appearing in court today, accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.

The 39-year-old, who was married to Katie Price from 2013 to 2021, is charged with three counts of rape and one of sexually assaulting the girl at an address in West Sussex.

It is alleged that the offences took place between June and October 2016.

He denies all charges and has pleaded not guilty.

The teenage girl, now 23, cannot be publicly named for legal reasons, but she is not a member of Hayler or Price’s extended family.

Police confirmed that she had been receiving support from specially trained officers while enquiries continued.

Hayler was pictured arriving at Lewes Crown Court this morning, having been charged last October and released on bail ahead of the trial.

His trial is scheduled to last for nine days.

Reality star and former glamour model Price, 48, is expected to be called as a witness.

Hayler, who was Price’s third husband, was living with her at her £1.35million home – dubbed the Mucky Mansion – near Horsham when he is said to have attacked the girl.

The offences are alleged to have happened at the family home.

His representative said previously: ‘Kieran Hayler strongly denies the allegations made against him in its entirety.

‘Mr Hayler is fully engaged and has been co-operating with the police throughout the investigation and will continue to do so.

‘He looks forward to his name being cleared, believing in the judicial system to do so.’

Hayler met Price at the end of 2012 through mutual friends, and their romance moved at pace, resulting in a Christmas proposal and a Bahamas wedding merely five weeks after their first in-person meeting.

They separated officially in March 2018 due to several infidelity accusations, with Katie claiming he had a ‘full-blown affair’ with her friend and later cheated with their nanny. Their divorce was not finalised until three years later.
