‘My 600-lb Life’ Star Passes Away at 30: Family Shares Heartfelt Statement

“My 600-Lb. Life” star Dolly Martinez, who appeared on season 10 of the hit TLC show, has passed away. She was 30 years old.

The news was announced in a heartfelt statement from the reality television personality’s sister, Lindsey, who posted on Facebook on Saturday.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beautiful sister, Dolly,” she wrote. “Dolly had the brightest personality she could light up any room with her laughter, her kindness, and her loving spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel special, and her warmth will stay with us forever.”

“While our hearts are broken here, I find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our dad in heaven,” she continued. “I can only imagine the joy in that reunion.”

“Rest peacefully, Dolly,” Lindsey concluded. “You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten.”

According to Parade, she passed on April 11, but no cause of death was named.


Dolly Martinez’s Time On ‘My 600-lb Life’

During her time on Season 10 of TLC’s hit show, Martinez opened up about her struggles with food addiction as well as her mental health. At the beginning of her episode, Martinez weighed 593 pounds.

She also revealed on the show that she was homeless and was suffering from congestive heart failure due to her weight. Martinez ultimately lost 40 lbs. on the show, and in her Instagram bio, she said she’s “not homeless anymore.”

Under Lindsey’s Facebook post, many comments were left, paying tribute to Martinez.

“My biggest condolences to your family and everyone involved, she was truly an amazing woman and being her friend was a gift. Love, hugs, and prayers to all!!,” one person wrote.

“Oh no i am so sorry for your family’s loss. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers,” another person commented.

“I am so very sorry for your family’s loss. I had talked to her several times online and she had friended me on facebook. She was so very sweet and kind to me. I hope she has found peace and joy with her dad. I am just so sad. I was just so hopeful for her. That show did not do her justice,” someone posted.

“My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you shared with your sister,” one person shared.
