Rumours have started flying that Christine McGuinness and Nicola Adams have struck up a romance, and Nicola isn’t hiding it.
The former professional boxer shared a video on her Instagram, joking she was ‘crazy’ about a woman, days after she and Christine were spotted.
The pair attended the DIVA Awards together, apparently never leaving each other’s sides throughout the night, which was in celebration of LGBTQ+ figures.
According to the Daily Mail, the pair ‘looked like they were a couple’ but neither have confirmed the romance so far.
Now, Nicola, 43, has posted on her Instagram with the caption: ‘Them: “You’re not that crazy about that woman”‘.’
She then responded ‘me’ with a clip of her dancing with her eyes closed, cut with Evan Peters dancing in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
‘Who me #wlw,’ she added in the post, with fans commenting laughing emojis in reply.
Nicola made history in 2012 by winning the first-ever Olympic Women’s Boxing Gold Medal, earning herself an OBE.
She then made history again in the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing as part of the first-ever same sex pairing with pro dancer Katya Jones, but was forced to withdraw a few weeks in.
In an interview with The Sun on Sunday last year, the former Olympian said she ‘still talks to Katya’ and thought they could have gone all the way.
‘She really got the best out of me, and I liked the fact she had just as much energy as I did, so we were able to really get the dance moves right,’ Nicola shared. ‘It was a good partnership.’
In the same interview, Nicola discussed her split with Ella Baig, who she had been with for seven years before separating in 2025.
She admitted her girlfriend’s career as an OnlyFans model ‘had an impact on our relationship’ and they had amicably decided to end things.
‘I don’t want a rebound relationship, I just want to focus on my work and being a good mum,’ she said at the time.
Nicola and Ella now co-parent their son, Taylor Nate, who was born by IVF in July 2022.
She and Christine have not made anything official so far but the fact they both already have children might be helping the romance blossom.
A close friend of the boxer told the Daily Mail: ‘Nicola and Christine will make a good match as they’re both getting over long-term relationships and have children.’
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star told the podcast It Started With A Kiss she doesn’t want any more children, which has caused problems in the past.
‘A lot of the women that I meet usually don’t have children and they want children, whereas I’ve had them,’ she explained.
‘So that’s something that I try and be honest about at the beginning to anybody that I’m even talking to.’
‘Eventually it gets to the point where… my woman’s going, “When am I going to meet the kids?”’ she said, adding that she’s always upfront about her boundaries.
She and ex-husband Paddy McGuinness co-parent twins Penelope and Leo, 13, and Felicity, 10, and still live at home despite their divorce.
