Strictly’s Katya Jones caught mouthing feelings about Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb

Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones seems to have been caught sharing her candid thoughts on Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb.

The Mackenzie Boyd star, 34, took to the dance floor last night for the first live show of series 24.

He performed a Paso Doble with dance partner Jowita Przystał, earning them both a score of 20 from the judges.

Craig Revel-Horwood gave him four points, while Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas both awarded five each, before six from Anton Du Beke.

It was a mixed bag of comments, with Craig calling the dance ‘very square,’while Shirley praised his ‘opening line.’

The judges weren’t the only ones with something to say though – and Katya, 37, could be spotted in the audience, apparently mouthing the word ‘fit’ to fellow professional Aleksandra Isaeva.

It was a moment that didn’t go unnoticed by X users.

‘Did katya say “fit” after lawerence’s dance?’ asked wawawilliams.

‘Haha Katya mouthing ‘fit’ after Lawrences dance,’ laughed WalkerClanFan.

Asked tvreality93: ‘Did anyone see this with Katya after Lawrence?’

‘She said either “well fit” or “he’s fit”🤣🤣🤣’ commented arianacvpid in response.

Katya – if that’s what she said – wasn’t in the minority either. Sabbyissingular described the actor as ‘THE BEST THING THAT’S EVER HAPPENED TO ME,’ while holdontoyou13 said that she was ‘obsessed’ with last night’s performance.

Lawrence is currently taking a break from his day job on Emmerdale – with Mack departing for Germany as a way of explaining the actor’s absence.

This comes amid a time of turmoil for poor Mack, who learned that wife Charity – who’s in prison for murdering rapist Doctor Todd – had cheated on him with local hardman Ross Barton.

With Charity taking the rap for a crime granddaughter Sarah actually committed, Mack’s swapping the Dales for Germany.

The actor explained: ‘For the next couple of months, alongside strutting my stuff on the Emmerdale fields, I’m going to be strutting my stuff on the dancefloor. ‘It’s very exciting, but I’m terrified.’

Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, told The Sun: ‘We were filming a scene where we had to get him out so he could go and do it as he’d just got the phone call [from Strictly] and they wrote him out very quickly.’

It’s expected that Lawrence will return to Emmerdale once his Strictly stint has wrapped up.

As for Katya, she’s been paired with social media star John Nellis on this year’s series.

The pair enjoyed great success in last night’s live show, scoring a whopping 31 points for their foxtrot to Alex Warren’s Ordinary.

Australian singer Delta Goodrem wasn’t far behind, finishing in second place with 29 points for her samba with Kai Widdrington.

Motsi described John and Katya’s dance as ‘the best of the night,’ while Shirley told John that he was ‘very, very special.’

Katya will likely be hoping for a quieter series than she’s had in the past, after falling victim to the so-called ‘Strictly curse’ in 2018, and being pictured kissing celebrity partner Seann Walsh.

In 2024, she found herself at the heart of one of the show’s biggest controversies to date when she was partnered with Go Compare man Wynne Evans.

By comparison, her partnership with another Emmerdale star – Lewis Cope – got her all the way to the final last year, finishing in joint fifth place behind eventual winners Karen Carney and Carlos Gu.
