In a newly released clip obtained by People from the April 22 episode, her character, Lace, makes her entrance at a wrestling convention, where she reunites with an old friend, Jinx, played by Nick Offerman.

The moment unfolds as Jinx arrives with his daughter, Margo, portrayed by Elle Fanning. As they walk into the convention, Margo asks, “So these are your people?” and Jinx responds, “Past tense. These were my people.”

The energy shifts when Lace spots him across the room. “Oh, my God. Oh my God!” she says, pulling him into a warm embrace before turning to Margo. “Margo! Yeah, you were like 3,” she adds. “Feels like yesterday. Now I feel old.”

The reunion gently hints at a shared history, as Jinx begins to reference Lace’s past before she steps in to redirect the moment.

“Man, I lost all track. I assumed you moved to Melbourne after you and Leather…” he begins.

“Leather is dead to me,” Lace replies, offering a brief but telling glimpse into her story, to which Jinx responds, “Fair enough.”

The exchange carries a mix of humor and quiet familiarity, suggesting a deeper connection between the two while introducing Lace as a character shaped by both past experiences and present strength.

Kidman Embraces the Physical Challenge of Wrestling

Kidman, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, shared that taking on the role pushed her both physically and mentally, requiring preparation as well as a willingness to step outside her comfort zone.

“Obviously, it’s so hard, and I was so scared about getting injured, but then when I got in the ring, I just went, ‘Okay, let’s go,’” she told People during the New York City premiere of the show.

“’Cause whenever I do something, I go, ‘Okay, I’ve gotta be really careful,’ and then I just forget about any sort of protection in my body, and I go crazy.”

She said the experience was made easier by the support around her on set.

“But Nick had me covered,” she said. “And we were working with really great trainers and pro wrestlers, so they cover you too.”

The role left a lasting impression, even inspiring her to explore more physically demanding work in the future.

“I would love to do more wrestling,” she added.

According to showrunner David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman was drawn to the project early on, connecting with the story and its tone.

“She was game to be in [the series] where she could,” he said, as quoted by People, pointing to her enthusiasm for the material.

The series centers on Margo, a young woman finding her footing after college while raising a baby and dealing with financial pressure.
