Je’Von Evans is prepared to lead the charge for a new ‘Attitude Era’ in WWE.
At just 22 years old, the high-flying star has decades ahead of him, and he’s set to make his WrestleMania debut on Sunday night in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship.
The likes of Trick Williams and Oba Femi are also wrestling at the extravaganza for the first time this year, and Je’Von exclusively told Metro that WWE is primed for a new era.
‘Me, Leon [Slater] Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes, we got some ballers,’ he beamed during a chat in Las Vegas.
‘I feel like this next generation is about to turn wrestling into a whole different attitude, whole different sport.
‘I honestly feel like it’s gonna be like a new Attitude Era! I feel highly confident saying that.’
Wrestling icons The Hardy Boyz recently hailed UK lad Leon as the ‘future’ of the business, and Je’Von, who is included in this year’s WWE 2K26 video game, is excited to build a legacy with his fellow youngster.
Asked if they could be a future WrestleMania main event one day, he raved: ‘Fo’ sho’, most definitely. We did our thing at TNA – of course, the finish was upset, but we got so many years to redo it.
‘Not redo the finish, let us at least get something! We got so many years to grind and do a match like that again.
‘Hopefully next time go a bit crazier, have a better match and steal the show again.’
Je’Von knows all about stealing the show, and he’s done exactly that against the likes of Randy Orton.
The pair clashed on NXT when Je’Von accidentally missed a high-flying move into an RKO attempt, but they were able to nail the sequence at this year’s Royal Rumble.
‘I feel like that was, for sure, a moment that I learned from… I talked to Booker T about it right after,’ he recalled.
‘I was so hurt, you know, I didn’t watch the match for a while. And then I got the confidence, and I watched it, and I talked to Randy about it.
‘I was like, “This is good”, you know. And then we did it at the Rumble, and it was sexy, it was tough!’
The daredevil star is hoping to steal the show this weekend when he faces the likes of Rey Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, Rusev and Penta for the latter’s Intercontinental Championship.
‘I’m excited, nervous. I’m so blessed,’ he smiled. ‘I’m just happy to be here, to be able to say my first WrestleMania match was for the IC Title in a ladder match at WrestleMania at 21, it’s great. It’s wild.’
Je’Von is already becoming a human highlight reel in real life and the video game, but what can fans expect from him this weekend?
‘Y’all can expect me to try to win. Y’all can expect me to do something crazy sometimes,’ he teased.
‘Maybe, I haven’t really thought about it yet. And y’all can expect me to… get bouncy! And be the new IC Champion, the youngest champion. Let’s make history.’
