A man was killed and at least six other people were injured in a shooting in Humboldt Park Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.
Six people were standing outside at about 12:17 p.m. near an alley along the 700 block of North Christiana Avenue when two unknown vehicles approached and multiple armed people exited the vehicles and fired shots, according to police.
A man whose age was not immediately known suffered multiple gunshot wounds and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A 24-year-old man was shot in the leg and stomach and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was initially reported to be in critical condition, according to police.
A 14-year-old boy suffered gunshot wounds to his thighs and was taken to Stroger Hospital. Police said the teen was initially reported to be in good condition.
A 30-year-old woman was inside her car when she was struck by gunfire and crashed into a Chicago Transit Authority bus, police said. She suffered a gunshot wound to the hip and was taken to Mount Sinai, where she was initially reported to be in good condition, according to police.
The bus driver was taken to a local hospital for observation.
An 18-year-old man was struck in the shoulder and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition, according to police.
A 21-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.
A 26-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his foot and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition.
Area Four Detectives are investigating.
