2nd fatal FBI shooting in 3 days leaves aspiring rapper dead in Dixmoor

An aspiring rapper was killed Wednesday morning in a shooting involving an FBI agent in south suburban Dixmoor, just two days after an off-duty FBI agent fatally shot another man who was allegedly firing into a crowd in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood.

The shooting happened around 7 a.m. during “court-authorized law enforcement activity,” the FBI said.

Residents gathered near the shooting scene as FBI agents and Cook County sheriff’s deputies blocked off a residential area near 145th Street and Cooper Avenue with vehicles and crime scene tape.

“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the agency said in a statement. “In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”

Nia Cole said her 22-year-old brother, Chadwick Clark, had been killed in the shooting. Clark was an aspiring rapper who went by the name Lowick.

“It made me feel like I wanted to die as well,” Cole, 27, said. “I feel like I was robbed of something and my heart is completely broken.”

Cole described Clark as a “sweet soul and good person who didn’t deserve this at all.” The youngest of nine kids, Clark was an aspiring rapper who was about to start working at Amazon and had a 2-year-old daughter, Cole said.

The FBI statement didn’t say what prompted the law enforcement action in Dixmoor or whether anyone was taken into custody.

Cook County court records show Clark had been charged in a series of cases in recent years.

In November 2023, Clark was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash in Hazel Crest where two people were “seriously injured,” according to court records.

About a year later, he was arrested again for possessing a stolen vehicle and a loaded handgun in Sauk Village, records show. At the time of that arrest, Clark was also wanted on a warrant for an armed robbery in Lake County, Indiana, which was later tossed.

In September 2025, Clark pleaded guilty to failing to report an accident and the weapons charge and was sentenced to three years in prison, with over eight months of credit for time served.

“My brother just did two years in jail,” Cole said. “He was trying to get his life together. He was messing up at first, but he was trying to do better.”

Cole acknowledged her brother made “violent music,” but said it wasn’t reflective of his actual lifestyle.

“All the guns that he had up in his videos were prop guns,” she said. “All he talked about was getting off parole and taking care of his daughter.”

Cole said she last spoke to her brother Tuesday night when he “begged” her to come spend the night with him. By Wednesday morning, she was at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn learning from his girlfriend that he was dead.

It isn’t the first time Cole has lost a sibling to violence. In 2013, she said another brother was fatally stabbed.

“It was very hard for me to have to experience something like this,” she said. “I’m just completely heartbroken.”

Clark’s killing comes on the heels of another deadly shooting involving an off-duty FBI agent in Pilsen.

The agent was driving home from work in an FBI vehicle around 5:30 p.m. when he saw the man “discharging a firearm into a group of innocent people” near 18th Street and Union Avenue, according to the FBI. At least two shots were fired before the agent intervened “to stop the ongoing threat,” the FBI said.

The gunman, identified as 27-year-old Oscar Isaya-Corrales, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, according to the police report and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

The feds described Isaya-Corrales as a Venezuelan without legal status who had been “taken into custody at the border and subsequently released” during the Biden administration in 2023.
