Police are trying to find the assailant who gunned down a 27-year-old man as he rode a bicycle in Grant Park early Tuesday.
Officers responded at about 12:15 a.m. to the 300 block of East Jackson Drive for a call of a person shot, Chicago police said.
The man was riding a bike on the sidewalk when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.
He suffered a gunshot wound to the upper leg and was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His name has not been released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No arrests have been made and police did not provide a description of the attacker.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
