Foo Fighters, Weezer to headline KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas at Kia Forum

KROQ is celebrating 35 years of its Almost Acoustic Christmas concert with a lineup led by Foo Fighters, Weezer and Sublime at the Kia Forum in Inglewood on Saturday, Dec. 12.

The annual alternative rock holiday tradition will also feature Interpol, Joyce Manor, Julia Wolf, Almost Monday, and The Linda Lindas, bringing together established rock acts and a newer generation of alternative artists for the station’s anniversary celebration.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Oct. 30 at kroq.com/xmas.

“Almost Acoustic Christmas has always been about the bands and their connection with our listeners,” Kevin Weatherly, KROQ’s senior vice president of programming, said in a statement. “That’s what makes this show so special, and we’re incredibly grateful to the artists who take the time to be part of it. Celebrating 35 years of this together is pretty amazing.”

This year’s concert will benefit two Los Angeles organizations: Para Los Niños, which provides educational, wellness and family support services, and the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center, which offers after-school and summer programs for young people.

The anniversary show also brings together several acts with strong Southern California connections, including Weezer, Sublime, Joyce Manor and The Linda Lindas, alongside Foo Fighters and Interpol.
