Chicago police have launched a death investigation after a man was recovered from Lake Michigan Tuesday night, according to Chicago police.
Martell L. Henderson, 51, fell into the water at 7:31 p.m. near the 4900 block of South Lake Shore Drive, police said. Henderson, of the 600 block of East 87th Street, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 8:28 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A death investigation is underway.
