A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery early Sunday near Rate Field and the 35th Street Red Line station, Chicago police said.
The man, 39, was in the 3500 block of South State Street around midnight when a group approached him and demanded his belongings, police said in a statement.
A woman then pulled out a sharp object and stabbed him in the lower back and chest, according to police. The group ran off without the victim’s things. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
No other injuries were reported and no one has been arrested, police said.
The White Sox played the Detroit Tigers earlier Saturday at Rate Field.
