Francisco Ivan Romero was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, Denver Police Department officials said in a news release Wednesday.

Officers responded to a shooting at 6:50 a.m. March 29 in the 1600 block of South Federal Boulevard and found a man, later identified as Gómez-Reyes, with multiple gunshot wounds. Gómez-Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further details about how Romero was identified as a suspect were not immediately available.
