People have been evacuated from London Farringdon Tube station after a suspected gas leak.
Passengers reported feeling unwell after the incident, the police said.
The station is currently cordoned off, and no trains are stopping there until at least midday.
British Transport Police told Metro: ‘Officers were called to Farringdon station at 9.42am today (30 April) following reports of a suspected gas leak in the station, with a small number of passengers reporting feeling unwell.

‘Officers are in attendance, alongside the ambulance service and the fire brigade, and the station has been evacuated while enquiries are conducted.’
When asked about the presence of armed officers at the scene, a spokesperson for the force told Metro that this is a normal response in this kind of incident.
National Rail warned that no trains will stop at the station for the time being, including the Elizabeth line.
A commuter said he cannot leave his office currently because of the emergency cordon outside the station on Cowcross Street.
National Rail said: ‘The emergency services are dealing with an incident at Farringdon. Whilst they complete their work, no trains will stop at this station.
‘Disruption is expected until 11:45.’
Metro has approached the London Ambulance Service for a comment.
