Taylor McGregor, Marquee Sports Network’s field reporter for Cubs broadcasts, is leaving the network to join ESPN full-time.
The Cubs’ regular-season home finale Thursday marked her last game, though she’ll contribute in the postseason. Marquee will look to replace her for next season, but the rest of the crew will return.
McGregor will continue as a sideline reporter on ESPN’s coverage of college football. She also has appeared on the network’s college baseball and softball coverage.
McGregor, 33, has been with Marquee since it launched in February 2020. During that time, her national profile grew as her work at ESPN expanded into major college games.
“Anyone who has watched her work, both with us and increasingly on ESPN, can see that she is a rising star in the industry,” said Colin Faulkner, Cubs chief commercial officer, who’s overseeing Marquee’s operations. “Taylor’s professionalism, preparation, and ability to connect with players, coaches, and fans have made her an outstanding member of our broadcast team.”
