On Saturday, May 30, 2026, celebrities walked the runway for the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit fashion show. Among the big names were competitors from “Dancing With the Stars.”
Former DWTS celebrity contestants Ilona Maher and Alix Earle graced the runway. But fans were pleasantly surprised to see several pro dancers appear and show off a few moves as well.
DWTS Pro Dancers Show Off Their Skills For the Fashion Show Attendees
For the past several months, the “Dancing With the Stars” pros have been on their cross-country tour. The show concluded in mid-May, allowing the dancers to rest and relax before season 35 premieres this fall. However, a few members of the DWTS cast were ready to keep the performances going.
On Saturday, pro dancers Emma Slater, Britt Stewart, Jenna Johnson, and Val Chmerkovskiy took the runway at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit fashion show. Season 34 troupe member Hailey Bills completed the ensemble for the evening.
“We could watch this performance all night 𥔠the official Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Instagram account shared, attaching a snippet of the performance.
“This needs to happen every year,” Emma Slater excitedly wrote in the comments.
“I love that the DWTS ladies (and Val) have the spotlight here. Beautiful, athletic, strong, talented. Well done. ð¥ð¥ð¥” one fan applauded the dancers.
“Had to be the knee walks ð¯ð¯ð¯” another Instagram user pointed out Val Chmerkovskiy‘s signature move.
On Instagram, Emma Slater uploaded several behind-the-scenes clips from the evening. In the comments, fans appreciated seeing many different body types represented at the show. Overall, each model seemed to have an excellent time at the event.
DWTS fans can tune into the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show starting June 9 on Hulu and Disney+.
Emma Slater Couldn’t Contain Her Excitement Over the Event
Appearing on the Sports Illustrated runway is a tremendous honor. DWTS pro Emma Slater couldn’t contain her excitement over the opportunity to perform.
“Iâm going to be a Sports Illustrated swimwear model!!! IâM SO EXCITED!!! ððð Iâll be walking the runway this year,” the British dancer excitedly told fans on Instagram earlier in the week. “Thankful for this year of being kind to myself, being kind towards my body and telling myself that itâs ok to be proud of yourself.”
“Timing is perfect because I finally decided to love ALL of myself EXACTLY the way I am, and now I just had my first fitting as a Sports Illustrated swimwear model,” Emma wrote over the video as she posed and twirled in front of the camera, rocking a light blue bikini.
“Baby!!!!!!! I’m the luckiest guy in the world! You are so beautiful ð inside and out. I canât wait to see all the pictures,” her boyfriend and fellow DWTS pro Alan Bersten gushed in the comments. Other fans readily agreed and noted how excited they felt to see Emma and the rest of the pros perform.
Fans can catch the premiere of “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” in just a few weeks on Monday, July 13, on ABC. DWTS season 35 premieres this September on the network.
