An intoxicated man holed up inside a home who caused a nearly 2-hour long standoff is in police custody after firing a gun early Friday in West Pullman, police said.
Around 12:10 a.m. a SWAT incident was declared when a woman called 911 and officers responded to a home in the 12700 block of South Lowe Avenue where a drunken 47-year-old man she knows briefly left the home and fired multiple shots into the air before going back inside, Chicago police said.
The man willingly left the home around 1:45 a.m. and was arrested, police said. A gun was recovered at the scene and no one was hurt.
Charges have not been announced but are pending, police said.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
