A morning shooting in the South Shore neighborhood has left a 23-year-old man dead Friday.
The attack erupted at 6:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of East 72nd Place, according to police.
The victim, a 23-year-old man who was dead on the scene, was found unresponsive outside at the 72nd Place address suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and face, police said.
No one else was hurt and no arrests have been made.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
