Disneyland sets 2028 opening date for Avengers Campus expansion
Walt Disney Imagineering pulled back the curtain on two new Marvel attractions coming to the Disneyland resort that will double the size of the Avengers Campus themed land during a D23 fan event in Anaheim.
Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab will debut in 2028 in the Marvel themed land at Disney California Adventure.

Imagineering provided updates on the Avengers Campus expansion on Saturday, Aug. 15 during the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress showcase at the Honda Center as part of the D23 fan expo in Anaheim.
Imagineering revealed new details about the backstory for the Avengers Infinity Defense attraction that will feature a showdown with King Thanos across the multiverse.
The Imagineering: Horizons pavilion on the D23 show floor featured a scale model of the Avengers Campus expansion and a maquette of the Stark Flight Lab ride vehicle.

Avengers Infinity Defense will transport riders aboard a world-jumping spaceship to remote worlds and alternate realities throughout the Marvel multiverse. Recruits will travel to Asgard, Wakanda and New York City alongside Marvel superheroes before facing off against Thanos.
Imagineering has previously shown the Stark Flight Lab robot arm ride vehicles in action and scale models of the Avengers Infinity Defense motion-based dark ride vehicles.
Marvel star Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Iron Man/Tony Stark for both new attractions.
