Explosion at Rotterdam port leaves one dead and several injured

One person has died and several others have been wounded after an explosion at Rotterdam port in the Netherlands.

A spokesperson for the city police said the cause of the blast was still unclear and was currently being investigated.

Dutch outlet MediaTV reported that it happened at a tank terminal on a road called Moezelweg in Europoort, a section of the port.

The Port of Rotterdam is the largest seaport in Europe and the 11th busiest port in the world by cargo tonnage.
