Patriots Day Freedom Fest, a MAGA-centric political event scheduled for Saturday, September 26, in Kentucky and featuring Trump-aligned celebrities Kid Rock and Dog the Bounty Hunter, was canceled this week due to lack of VIP ticket sales.
While regular admission and parking were supposed to be free, the organizer, Eric Deters, said his goal was to sell 100 VIP tickets at $1,000 each to cover the cost of producing the event — but Deters sold only six VIP tickets.
As seen below on social media, Deters pitched the VIP tickets as costing “Only 1,000 bucks so you get to hang out for three hours with all the famous people, and probably get a picture.”

According to Taste of Country, Deters said: “When I put together Patriots Day Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with VIP sales of $1,000 from these 100 people that I interact with on a regular basis.” He added, “Rich people, as a whole, [expletive].”

Deters admitted to being wealthy himself, but counted himself an exception to his assertion, saying: “Now I’m a rich person. I live in one hell of a house. I don’t [expletive], because I know that money isn’t what freakin’ matters the most. It’s the fight, it’s the cause, it’s helping people.”
