Chicago police were warning of sexual abuse on the CTA Blue Line that occurred earlier this month in the Wicker Park neighborhood.
A man entered the Cumberland station and rode to the Division station where he “waited for his target, a woman in a skirt,” Chicago police said in a statement.
The man then ran toward her as she began walking up the stairs and grabbed her but she was somehow able to escape his grasp and he ran away, police said.
The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Division station, 1200 N. Milwaukee Ave.
The man is said to be between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8, 210 pounds, has long black hair and two upper arm tattoos, police said. He was last seen wearing an Adidas cap.
Anyone with information is asked to call Mass Transit Detectives at 312-745-4447.
