Guided tours will begin Thursday, May 7, with 80 slots available in each tour. Tours will be every Thursday at 2 p.m. led by volunteers docents that last about one-and-a-half to two hours. Guests are invited to picnic on the house grounds before or after the tour.
The historic home, previously owned by William Wrigley Jr. now serves as the Tournament of Roses headquarters. When Wrigley’s wife Ada passed away in 1958, the family gave the home to the city of Pasadena on the condition that it be the permanent home of the Tournament of Roses.
More than 900 volunteer members work throughout the year to prepare to put on Pasadena’s showpiece events each year.
Tours include the discovery of hidden treasures and fascinating facts about the home’s history as well as the history of the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game.
The Tournament house hosts the announcements of the grand marshal, Rose Queen and is the starting point of the parade every New Year’s Day. Earlier this year, Tournament of Roses President Terry Madigan announced that theme for the upcoming 138th Rose Parade on Friday, Jan.1, 2027, is “Welcome.”
Guests are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time. For groups of more than 20, call 626-449-4100 or email membership@tournamentofroses.com.
