Man killed, teen injured in South Shore shooting

A South Shore shooting left a 42-year-old man dead and a 15-year-old boy injured Saturday night, Chicago police said.

The two were in the 1900 block of East 71st Place around 10:30 p.m. when an unknown person pulled a gun and fired at them. The man was shot in his hip and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The teen was shot in his arm and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.

No arrests have been announced.
